One Health University Network in Southeast Asia
Southeast Asia One Health University Network or SEAOHUN was founded in 2011 with support from the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) and One Health Workforce (OHW). WHO WE ARE? - A consortium in the regional level to build the One Health workforce to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease threats. - Facilitate South-to-South technical exchanges and regional activities in Southeast Asia. - Leading the implementation of One Health activities and foster the establishment of One Health university network. - Partner with governments, international organizations, international non-governmental organizations, and universities to build the capacity of One Health workforce through SEAOHUN Fellowship and Scholarship Programs. - Represent all the country networks in global and regional meetings. SEAOHUN comprised of 67 universities and 138 faculties and four founding countries in Southeast Asia, those are Indonesia (INDOHUN), Malaysia (MyOHUN), Thailand (THOHUN), and Vietnam (VOHUN). Soon there will be a further collaboration with Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Myanmar. Key activities that each OHUNs do are; - Work with the government on national workforce planning or policy level. - Work with government to strengthen in-service health professionals. - Work with universities to build the capacity of faculty members for the long-term sustainability of training new graduates. - Work with students to build the next generation of leaders and also have them engage the community to improve health.

One Health Activities in Southeast Asia
With support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and its One Health Workforce project, it's our pleasure to highlight key achievements of SEAOHUN, INDOHUN, MyOHUN, THOHUN, and VOHUN in advancing One Health workforce development during the Emerging Pandemic Threats 2 Program (2014-2019). One Health Workforce project aimed to improve workforce capacity in target countries to prevent, detect, and respond to threats posed by infectious disease and zoonoses. Collaboration has shown us a great impact. One Health Workforce project works in fifteen countries; Africa and Southeast Asia. Southeast Asia One Health University Network or SEAOHUN comprised of four founding national one health university network; those are INDOHUN, MyOHUN, THOHUN, and VOHUN. The project implemented regionally in university; there are 67 universities and 138 faculties and 4 founding countries in Southeast Asia.

WHAT'S INSIDE SEAOHUN EIO PROGRAM?
The first SEAOHUN EIO Program was organized in 2016 in Bangkok with support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the One Health Workforce in collaboration with FAO-RAP, OIE SRR-SEA, WHO Thailand, Chulalongkorn University Veterinary Antimicrobial Resistance Cluster, World Bank Group, and SEAMEO TROPMED. Twenty professionals from SEAOHUN member and expansion countries participated in the event. They returned home with growing awareness in multi-sectoral networking and collaboration with readiness to apply the knowledge and communication skills gained into their work. SEAOHUN EIO Program in 2019 aims to include new partners such as Mekong Basin Disease Surveillance Secretariat, Fleming Fund Management Agent, and field trip. The 2019 program intends to welcome up to 40 professionals working on One Health in SEAOHUN member and expansion countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Bangladesh). OBJECTIVES • To expand knowledge on the roles of international/intergovernmental organizations working to address global challenges on One Health. • To network with regional leaders with backgrounds in human, animal, and environmental health for the benefit of education, research and outreach programs. • To foster collaboration with international/intergovernmental organizations.

CAMBOHUN One Health In Action
CAMBOHUN Student Field Trip. Food poisoning from eating unsafe foods has been frequently reported in Cambodia news media. In 2016 alone, 1,000 cases of food poisoning were reported in Cambodia. (Khmer Times) Addressing it requires a workforce with cross-sectoral competencies. Cambodia One Health University Network or CAMBOHUN in close collaboration with Southeast Asia One University Network or SEAOHUN organized a field trip for CAMBOHUN students aiming to foster collaboration among students from multiple disciplines to practice solving food safety issues. Students were trained on One Health approach, food safety, and data collection tools. This training equipped them with knowledge and skills to tackle One Health problems. One Health in action to build the capacity of young health professionals to solve complex health problems.

Global Health True Leaders: One Health in Action
From stranger to friend. From classroom to farm. From knowledge to action. One Health in Action is a five days training, a part of Global Health True Leaders training that focuses on leadership and multisectoral collaboration. This training is designed to equip postgraduate students and health workers with knowledge and skills to solve global health problems and emerging threats.
