The Pan African Medical Journal (PAMJ) - One Health
According to the World Health Organization, One Health is an approach to designing and implementing programmes, policies, legislation and research in which multiple sectors communicate and work together to achieve better public health outcomes. The areas of work covered by the PAMJ OH include but are not limited to food safety, the control of zoonoses, combatting antibiotic resistance, capacity building and national policies and legislations. The One Health concept therefore implies the collaboration of multiple disciplines and sectors working locally, nationally and globally to attain optimal health for people, animals and the environment.
